Devil May Cry. I have so many feelings about it, but it's been years since I found anyone as crazy about it as I am; the gamers who like it tend not to be into the fandom side of it.

My best friend isn't a fandom person at all. Even on the rare occasion that we like the same things, she has no conception of shipping and meta and fanworks. I have never wanted to brainwash somebody so badly.

I tried finding fandom for that! Unfortunately, I only ever played the one with Nero, and absolutely no one liked him, or wrote the epic-length mentor-student relationship with added sex with Dante that I was dying for.

Also the fic was mind-numbingly godawful. What is it with games have the shittiest fandoms?

Haha, it seems like I can't turn around without tripping over a Dante/Nero fic (I came in pre-DMC4), but yeah, the usual quality is...lol. Especially the stuff that turns Nero into a whining uke. And the lack of epic-length fic is downright depressing.

Love the games to death, could never get into the fandom. Might be that the Dante/Vergil fic was prevalent at the time.

Wasn't really a fan of Nero, but I still loved DMC4.

The new game, that'll be interesting. It's a lot of fun, even if I have no idea what they're trying to do with the story.

That's what I keep hearing! ;__; Yeah, it's still prevalent, challenged only by Dante/Nero and Dante/OC. I go back and forth on the reboot, but I agree it looks like it'll be a real blast to play. Storywise, it's guaranteed to bring in a fresh batch of Dante/Vergil shippers, haha.
