22. Wait, what's the point of writing fanfic for something you're not a fan of? I mean, I can understand liking only certain parts of cannon and only focusing on those, but if you haven't seen any of it whatsoever, how can you be interested in writing for it?

You actually can get character concepts without reading/viewing canon material. I don't write for fandoms I don't know, myself, but I've been tempted to before. I liked the characters (some of them) but hated the show. And people keep on telling me that if I don't see the story I want out there, I should write it myself, so... XP
