Link us to your fics, please? Seriously, I'm curious to see if writing something without watching the original series is actually possible. If your fics are really good, you won't have anything to worry about, and you'll actually get free pimpage out of it.

(It's also a win-win situation for me, admittedly. If your fics are good, I get something cool to read and pimp to friends, and if they suck, I get something to giggle at and mock with friends.)

Well... now I'm kind of disappointed. :( I was expecting something either amazingly brilliant or laughably bad, but your fics aren't really either. They actually read like pretty average-quality Bleach fic to me. Which, considering you haven't seen/read any of the series, is pretty good. I have to admit, I would never have guessed you hadn't read/seen ANY of it just from reading your fics, although, honestly, I would probably guess you hadn't seen/read all of it.

Gin is the one thing you really do well, so kudos on that. While I wouldn't say it's the best Gin I've ever read, it is a pretty damn good Gin. And your Kira's pretty good, too.

Unfortunately, all the other characters... aren't. They're not awful, just kind of mediocre. Your Aizen in particular rings somewhat false with me - it's not that he's OOC or badly done, exactly, it's just that there's something missing from him that I can't quite put my finger on. And the settings of some of the fics feel kind of generic or even nonexistent, or like you're trying not to go into too much detail.

It's also kind of obvious - at least to me - that you're not nearly as interested in the other characters are you are Gin. Not just because most your fics are about him, but because of the way you write him as opposed to the way you write the others.

All in all, considering you haven't had any exposure to the original source material whatsoever, consider me impressed. :D

The settings are kinda more due to the style I write in rather than lack of world-knowledge (I looked all that up too adfghadkf), I just tend to focus on character and dialogue a lot more than description in every fandom. And yeah, I haven't researched Aizen as much. Or ever written him before. *dies* You can kinda tell, and I know that. But Gin, yeah. Lots of love for him, so. ♥

Thanks for giving it a chance, though! All these people being all "you auto-suck" was kind of disheartening.
