Sadly, using a comment like that to bash someone else is huge in my main fandom - and it's actually something that gets thrown a *lot* at my otp [granted my OTP seems to being a shit ton of hate lately anyways, so.]

Personally, I don't see why it'd be worth getting upset over if it's just 'I see them this way, so I don't ship it.' People can ship what they want, it's probably not going to have a big impact on my ship [outside of potential flame wars]. It's when they start using that logic to *bash* other ships/other people that I start getting upset, since that shit is almost always uncalled for.
