This is how I feel too. I try not to let it bother me, because I've been in fandom long enough to notice that all book/movie/show fandoms follow a rinse-repeat pattern for bad characterization. There's a woobie, a super-top, a ~bitch~, a ~slut~, that entire a/b/o thing, good-guys-who-are-really-bad-guys, etc. It's all pretty standard, so I just filter it out these days.

I think a lot of it is because--required 18 or older page aside--so many people on kinkmemes are on the younger side of things.

A lot of that stuff also pushes a lot of people's buttons, though, even if it's technically badfic. The trick is to alter those archetypes just enough so that the characters aren't totally unrecognizable and/or exchangeable with any other two characters from any random fandom.

That also makes the tropes 100x hotter, in my opinion.
