It's not dumb.

The show happened. It is part of the annals of television history. If it touched you, then you might very well care about it until the end of your days, and there is nothing wrong with that.

People still care about books that were written decades ago, nay, books that were written centuries ago! What's wrong with caring about a show that aired within our lifetimes?
