Cuz man, when you actually like your stuff and want to hear what people think about, nope, they still only remember the you that ragged on your own artwork and lashed out at any criticism. :\

I think a lot of it is people are told from a young age that bragging or having an overly healthy opinion of your work makes you look like a douche, but the other side of being a depressing self-deprecator is never really called out.
