I really don't think Thor is "playing the role of parent" when it comes to Loki. I don't see why you'd think that, but hey -- you're free to think/like whatever you want! And, y'know, so are the people who ship it.

depends on where you are in fandom though. If it's a female-dominated area, underage boys are more acceptable. Male-dominated and underage girls are fine but underage boys are gross.

I find Male domination/Female submission (Fifty Shades and its ilk) very gross. I don't make grand statements about it and stand back for people to clap for me. Also: Thor is barely in JiM. He's in the first and last arc. Not exactly one of the star characters. I have a feeling most of the those artists haven't really read JiM, and are just using the fact that Loki is a kid for their own purposes. :/

So? Thor is still a character in JiM, and Loki is still a character in TMT, and a major one in Loki's life, no matter what the frequency of his appearances.
