I keep hearing it's supposed to be platonic. Not sure if that'll last or if that just means there'll only be tons of UST.

Mostly I'm wary of JLM's "Eli Stone" face. If he makes those faces I don't know if I can watch this show.

This exactly. "Platonic" in shows that are trying for the bromance dynamic just means lots and lots of ship-teasing with no follow through. If this show does stick to keeping it platonic between Brit/Watson, I'm sure it will be just the same.

(Also, don't forget X-Files here. That was also meant to be platonic, and it managed it...for eight seasons. Then it became romance.)

I don't think it was a change, I think some articles wrote "Brit" as in "British", and some other articles misunderstood.

...and by that point, the show had become unwatchable for other reasons, anyway. So it was okay!
