It's whatever play(s) you like in any sense. I meant it as favorite play to watch*, but when I like a play I've seen I usually want to read it too.

*I assume watching a play = live in a theatre, but recordings make theatre more accessible as not everyone lives in major city with many large and small theatres like I do. And sometimes it takes a surprisingly long time for even seasoned theatre-goers to check a certain play off the life list of read plays. I somehow managed to see multiple oddities including Rodgers and Hammerstein's Allegro and Sondheim's Pacific Overatures over eight years before I ever saw a staged production of Hamlet.
Edited (looked it up and after seeing Hamlet finally in 2010, it's 8 years for Allegro (2002) and 12 for Pacific Overatures (1998). Longer ago than I thought!) 2012-09-26 00:37 (UTC)
