(Anonymous) 2012-09-26 12:45 am (UTC)(link)It is sad when great works of art are overlooked because they're foreign. But the culture shock is easy to understand. (Not a great example, but I was shocked to see real palm trees on my visit to Florida) It's common to request back home amenities when moving to a new country. Some people just need time to adjust.
