*shrug* I prefer subs because I'd like to get as close as possible to seeing a piece of media in the way it was originally produced. I feel the same way about foreign-language films and TV shows that aren't anime, too. Obviously, subs can have translation errors, etc., but dubs can have those and simultaneously miss all sorts of nuances of emotion/whathaveyou that were conveyed vocally, so, whatever. Still closer. That might not be as important to some people, but it is to me.

ETA: I do think it's kind of funny when either dub or sub preferers will accuse whichever they don't like of all sounding the same, though. Both draw from fairly small pools, so if you listen to a lot of either, you'll hear the same people over and over again. Personally, I like playing 3 Degrees of separation from Takehito Koyasu.

Frankly, if it's in a language I don't understand I completely miss any nuanced voice acting ANYWAY because I can't tell which words they're stressing or if they're drawing a word out or saying extra fast or whatever.
