It helps when you find out reading the artbook interviews that 'Colours of the Wind' was one of their first, strongest ideas for the film and everything else was sort of built around it. It is literally the heart of the film/story.

'Pocahontas' was deeply special to me and my BFF at 12 anyway, so yeah.
