eh, there are plenty of people that jump to call various females in media fat. I'd guess that the actor himself would be more likely to get a role than a woman his size (and age).

not that it's okay to do any of that, of course. but hey, it's TV. part of it is blatant objectification, but part of it is that we'd rather watch pretty/ideal versions of ourselves.

But Gatiss ISN'T overweight. You have missed the point, which relates to canon Mycroft being very fat..
