(Anonymous) 2012-09-27 12:45 am (UTC)(link)Maybe it's something about the character or the actor that isn't ringing fandom's bell?
I think you've hit on it. I think there would be a lot more Scott/Derek at least if Scott were more popular. For some reason, I still don't think that Scott/Stiles would be that popular, although I can't tell you why I think that - it's just a feeling I have.

(Anonymous) 2012-09-27 12:41 am (UTC)(link)1) Fandom didn't think much of Scott after S1 and although I think the writers made a deliberate effort to rehabilitate Scott's character in S2, I'm not totally sure how much it worked.
2) The Scott/Allison thing. I've observed that fandom tends to be reluctant to break up canon pairings that are there from the beginning (that's the important part). Scott and Allison are kind of seen as a package deal, although I think that's maybe been a bit less so since the end of S2, and may account for some of the Scott/Isaac that's becoming more popular.

(Anonymous) 2012-09-27 05:26 am (UTC)(link)But I also don't ship Sterek, which makes it hard for me to have fun in fandom. My ships are Jackson/Stiles and Isaac/Stiles and Papa/Mama Argent (I would love to read stories about their adventuuuures before Allison was born).
