Either http://heartiste.wordpress.com/ is a masterpiece of trolling or they're the most deluded person in history. "I found this old page from the 1800s that talks about beauty! Everyone must conform to it immediately!" Not to mention that the "historical" Q and A is laughably wrong.

I'm imagining this 300 pound person, stinking of sweat and misery, meticulously measuring every woman in the past 50 years' worth of Playboy magazines. They find no joy in this, but they might make someone on the Internet feel bad.

Going off on a tangent, this is sort of the mental picture I get whenever a guy gets going about how women athletes will never be as strong or fast as men: some sweaty dudebro who never ran a mile in his life, sitting in his undershirt on his flabby and underexercised ass in his La-Z-Boy, in front of the TV, knocking back the beer and snarfing Cheetos while prating about the ineluctability of female physical inferiority.

eh it's equally likely that their extreme bitterness motivated them to become physically fit as a substitute for being outgoing, intelligent, decent, living well

lotta nerds posting on /fit/

doesn't matter anyway, since their arguments are wrong regardless

it's an interesting point--somehow, I had never associated extreme bitterness with motivation to do anything even remotely worthwhile.
