What is with the MLPFIM fandom turning the series into random darkemgorez fests?

masu_trout: Delicious. ((PKMN) Butterfree *Way Back When*)

Series aimed at young kids (especially young girls) + older male fans = DARK AND EDGY ~HARDCORE FANWORKS. It's basically a law of the universe. (Pokemon especially used to get a lot of it when it was newer.)

One of my earliest experiences of the internet, aged 10-11, was thinking "Gee, I feel like the only person who doesn't like Pokemon. Let's find out if anyone else dislikes it!"

*search search search*

"Oh...oh my. That's..."

My guess is that it's at least partially because some bronies want to prove that they're still tough and hardcore even though they like a children's show, and that the only way to do that is to add buckets of blood and gore.

Huh, that's actually kinda funny considering I dislike gore and love twisted emotions and loss. That's why that song (to me) relates more to the HetaOni game rather than Rainbow Factory.

4chan.

Eheheh... I should've typed the secret differently. I like to explore the emotional aspect of loss and pain. Hetaoni focusus more on despair and emotions rather than straight-up gore like Rainbow Factory, which I really REALLY hate.

I'm a bit of a brony myself... I'm also a hetafan...
...and I completely agree with you (though I may be lynched for saying so). HetaOni is much deeper than pony!gore!fanworks.

Because most can't admit to themselves for liking a GIRLY, CHILDREN'S SHOW as JUST a girly, children's show. They have to make it MANLY and DARK for it to be A-OK.

B/ Fucking Bronies.
