I'm just trying to wonder if you're both folk who comment logged-in here, and you're all tip-toeing around each other to avoid the awkward.

Like, Friend A goes out of their way to not even comment in the same threads that Friend B popped up in. And when one of you do, without even so much as commenting on the other's comment, it's all tragic and sad and shit because it hurts to be ignored. You know you can talk to each other about your fandoms without having to invest all these mutual feelings in between, but you won't just in case one of you does. It just hurts so, so much.

sometimes when I see 'I miss you' secrets, I wonder the same thing.
except I think she never really followed f!s like I did, so, you know.

Every time I see a secret like this I kind of wonder myself.

And consider posting a comment along the lines of "Hey you. Yeah, you. If you made this, or if you feel the same way, drop me a line. It was a long time ago and I'm over it, and I imagine we've both grown since then."

I know that feeling, even though my friend and I "fell apart" long before f!s existed (back in the days of dialup, seven-digit ICQ numbers and AOL trial discs in the mail every week) so I have no clue whether she even reads it, let alone submits anything.

Whenever I see Digimon secrets, I always wonder if it's her. But I don't want to hijack the comments to ask... it's been 10 years, the likelihood of it being her is just too small to justify it. I guess I'll never know why she disappeared.
