Eh, people will ship in any and all environments. It is the way of things.

I was more reacting to the fact that it seemed like you were objecting on the grounds that the characters are kids. The point I was making is that the show doesn't really treat them like kids, so it's not surprising that fandom wouldn't, either.

There is fanfic for Timon and Pumbaa and Cogsworth and Lumiere. I think it's safe to say that the South Park fandom is unsurprising in the least.
