....I think you mean "except," not "expect." Goodness knows "except" and "accept" sound identical, while if you regularly screw up "accept" and "expect," I seriously question your familiarity with the English language.

That said, yeah, it seriously bugs me when people screw up except/accept (or they're/their/there, your/you're, who's/whose, affect/effect, lose/loose, et cetera). If you know you have trouble with those words, how difficult is it to double-check or get a beta reader who knows their stuff?

I have a BA in English and it drives me absolutely insane whenever my husband texts me to say "Your cute" or something like that. SO many times I've wanted to text back, "It's YOU'RE" but it doesn't matter, because he doesn't care. He knows I'll go over any documents/reports he has to submit beforehand, anyways (and let me tell you, going over reports like that take me a LONG time. There are just that many errors).

FYI, he's an engineer. He's absolutely brilliant in areas where I'm awful, so I sort of have to cut him some slack on his terrible writing skills!
