I can kind of sympathize. I haven't gone so far as to look up this person's address, but I did have this delusion that I would be able to meet so-and-so and they would like me because I'm more normal than the other fans, so I posted a bunch of weird comments on their page. I stopped after three comments when I realized I was probably creeping this person out and that I really needed to find something else to do with my time.

I felt really guilty about it too, but luckily this didn't last long and now I just do my own thing.

As for feeling badass...I'm not sure I can agree, sorry since it's really easy to find stuff thanks to google. But who knows maybe you're developing a skill that will come in handy later on. Good luck.
