Unfortunately, there is a small, yet very vocal group that love nothing more than to slam on their keyboards at anyone and anything. Which I find very sad, because there can be good discussion to be had on almost any subject. But these fools have taken it upon themselves to run around and insult people, use fuzzy logic, twist words, and basically spew vile hate around the site.

I am all for calling out stupid shit that people say or using it as a springboard for discussion. But most of these people just want to fight, bait and stir up shit. They want to fight for the sake of fighting.

FFS, I once agreed with someone and they came back and told me that since I was white (because I mentioned it in the post), I should stop pandering and "white knighting." At first I was going to post a clarification, but looking through the other parts of the post, this user was finding every white person (known or imagined) to insult and bicker with. What was even worse was that a few people were taking the bait and arguing back, so they filling pages with their back and forth. At the end of it all, everyone looked like huge shitty assholes.

So I'm just going to sit back with my popcorn and watch as these assholes take each other out....that is hoping that the mods will take some action on the high level of bullshit that is going on in there.

it's the new face of 'Social Justice'. It's no longer about calling out people on bad behaviour, no it's all about telling people to die, just for the audacity, of being born white, or not fitting into the neat little oppressed box, that a POC should fit in (I've experienced that first hand being in fandoms, and being black).

...and I worry that eventually its going to start to do some real damage to activism, and civil rights movements.
