She at one point support the child molester director before she knew the facts of the case so she's "EVIL" and "HORRIBLE" forever now. Some people hate her for being vegan and DARING to have a vegan wedding and not send photos to the mags afterwords. Oh and she gets her vagina near guys a lot of the women there want to fuck, so :/

i enjoy ohnotheydidnt sometimes, but mostly it's just a cesspool of endless contradiction and disgust. the reasons a collective group on there hate an actor/musician/whatever can go from ridiculous to completely offensive. and then there's so many asspats for the idiots that logic can never prevail.

i can understand why you don't speak up anon. i rarely ever comment myself. it's just not worth the headache and aggravation.

Ugh, ONTD. I joined this summer and frequented it at first, until I realized that most of the people on there, especially the most frequent commenters, have absolutely no lives, no ambition, nothing. Sometimes the fandom-related ONTD posts are fun, but a lot of them contain nothing but unhappy bitching and it's depressing. Those people really are losers, so I don't think their opinion of Natalie Portman really counts for much.

People try to pretend they have free rein in mocking and hating on her Judiasm because she's a Zionist (apparently?), and also act like that's a black-and-white issue devoid of context. But no matter your feelings about her or Israel, Anti-Semitism is a very, very real thing and incredibly pervasive, and so you have to watch yourself when criticizing her for that aspect. That's just a fact.

Her posts on ONTD reek of anti-Semitism in subtle turns-of-phrase and their vitriol toward that one character flaw.

Natalie Portman is a perfect example of how people with genius-level IQs can still be fucking idiots.

That said, that makes me fucking depressed. I grew up in a country where people still sometimes called me "Christ-killer" when they found out I was Jewish -- especially after they discovered that I wasn't too keen on my Israeli cousins being killed in suicide bombings -- and I was psyched that that shit wasn't tolerated in the US once I moved there. So much for that.

I honestly haven't seen any. Plenty of people calling her out on ridiculous shit she's said and then the usual internet Israel arguments that don't actually have anything to do with her or anti-Semitism in general or directed at her, no. Maybe I've missed it.

On a different topic the amount of commenters falling for the 'ontd hates white people' crap in this thread is hilarious. And by hilarious I mean deeply depressing.
