wow this fight was old even before it got started.

can we have a roll call of fans who like both series? or even just fans who only like one series but don't give a fuck about other people liking things that they don't like? because i feel as if this is what it pretty much boils down to. 8|

I like both! I do have issues with Sherlock, but I enjoy much of it. And there's only been one episode of Elementary, but I liked it and look forward to more.

I am EXTREMELY offended by people that like Elementary even though I don't. I was very specific about this issue during last month's Ruler of the World announcements and it bothers me that some people apparently weren't paying attention.

I read "Ruler" as "Ring" and actually screamed out loud. (Should NOT have watched that movie at two in the morning.)

I like both.

Sherlock owns the majority of my heart for the moment but I did like Elementary and look forward to seeing where they go with it.

I love both, though at the moment I prefer Elementary as it's fresher in my mind, and because that Irene Adler episode spoiled Sherlock a bit for me, though the rest of series two was brilliant.

I don't like Elementary (so far), but I don't care that it exists or if people enjoy it.

Honestly I feel like all the so called wank between the fandoms is really just between a minority of obnoxious assholes on tumblr.

Unfortunately this is even on sites like TV.com, EW, TVLine etc etc.

But I bet these people are also on tumblr, so... :P

I haven't seen the pilot for Elementary yet, but I plan to enjoy it. I already enjoy Sherlock. My world is without conflict at the moment, and I don't understand how I'm alone in this.

I like Elementary, what I have seen so far anyway. And I don't care one way or the other about Sherlock.

I'm milk warm about both series?
Watchable, enjoyable, but not something I'm waiting on the edge of my seat for.

I really liked A Study in Pink and The Hounds of Baskerville, but a lot of the other Sherlock episodes I found kind of cringe worthy.

Not enough Elementary episodes to judge yet.

I like Elementary and haven't seen Sherlock, but I'd like to.

I'm a little ashamed by how obsessed I am with both shows (slightly more with Elementary than Sherlock, just because English is not my first language and I find US English easier to understand than UK English).

I don't give a fuck about other people who like what I don't like or whatever. I just find all the fighting annoying. Everyone could be having fun instead of getting mad.

I'm excited for Elementary's new episode on Thursday though :)

I love Sherlock, and I like what I've seen of Elementary so far. More important, I like Joan Watson just as much as I do John Watson. That's a crucial point for me.

I'm a fan of Sherlock and am excited to try Elementary! I gotta say I was disappoint to find that lady!Watson is the first Watson I know of to NOT be a veteran BUT IT'S LUCY LIU SO I'M SURE I'LL JUST DEAL. I've just been working a lot this week and haven't gotten a chance yet! (suddenly ALL MY SHOWS ARE STARTING AGAIN and there's also the new interesting-looking ones like this and Revolution and I've been wanting to start Homeland and aaahhhhhhhhhhh)

can i push homeland up your priority list? i watched the first three episodes yesterday and fell in love with damian lewis all over again.

I like both but Sherlock was ruined for me, not by the fandom, but by the cast and writers. I'm fine with fandom being stupid, but when the writers and actors are so entitled and ignorant then it really ruined the whole show for me.

And those who like the Granada series over both of them and don't care?

I'm just sad that I wasn't impressed with the pilot. I've been a Holmes fan for years and the more Holmes the better.
