I don't mind being called a Yankee or Yank. American soccer fans already call themselves that (I think they reclaimed the term after hearing it derisively used against them so much), so I'm used to hearing it a lot already. I don't even think of it as a slur. And it sounds less ridiculous.

I'm also Southern, LOL
