Have fun with that OP, but understand that outside of tumblr, a lot of that stuff will get you weird looks and people slowly backing away from you for several reasons.

One of the main ones being that in the process of creating "Superfamily", Peter's entire backstory becomes null and void (which wipes out the main points of his character) and Wade is reduced to Snarky Crazy Guy #5948 with none of the pathos that make him interesting (Hmm... wonder if Way had a hand in this?).

So yeah, have fun. Enjoy. But don't expect everyone to get what you're getting out of it. I'll be over here happy with my tumblr savior blacklisting this stuff.

The assassination of Peter P's character in this scenario does bug me, I admit. Because he's still my fave and always will be god damn it :(

don't even get me started on how they gave Spidey's wisecracking attitude to MCU Iron Man. Although I guess it doesn't matter, as Spidey will never end up there.

Uh, dude? I actually really like you and all, so I won't chicken out and go anon, but...Spider-Man doesn't have a monopoly on being a wisecracker. There's about 15 Marvel superheroes who qualify as wisecrackers (Ben Grimm and Hawkeye among the most blatant examples that jump to mind) other than Spider-Man. They didn't "give" Spidey's attitude to him, Spidey doesn't own that attitude. They gave him a wisecracking attitude, when he was in his own movie with Peter Parker not even on anyone's radar. And Tony's joking doesn't even resemble Peter's joking much -- if I had to compare it to someone's, I'd compare it to comics!Hawkeye's.

And "don't get you started"....does that mean you actually don't enjoy it when Tony makes wisecracks because you think Peter's the only hero ever who should make them? Because if so, gotta say that sounds like a pretty awful state of affairs, because wow...I don't know what it's like to hate something that pervasive due to an interpretation like that. :(

lol it's not that serious. I'm just sad that in the Marvel movie 'verse, Iron Man is known as THE WISEASS when we went through three Spider-Man movies with nary a trace of his lame adorable wiseassery to be found, even though it's a pretty vital part of the Spider-Man character. And Andrew Garfield was an appalling Peter Parker, so we can't win.

Iron Man's not really a wisecracker in the comics, particularly. But it works in the movies. Same with Thor being less srs bsns.

Ah, okay, so I was just being overly Poe's Law-ish about that. Shoulda known you weren't that serious. Sorry!

Oh yeah, I totally get the disappointment of non-wisecracking movie Spidey :( I liked the Maguire movies okay (haaaaated the Garfield one), but they'd have been SO much less whiny and emo and annoying if Spidey had been more like he was in the comics. The few times he did make jokes were pretty much the same few times Spidey felt like a real personality and not just Peter-in-a-mask.

I actually heard from one source that the smartass!Tony in the movies occurred because the script for Iron Man 1 was really loose and left a lot of room for improv, and Downey and Paltrow both just went to town on it ;)
