Spidey/Deadpool existed before tumblr; there are some arguments for it in comics canon, but I don't expect people who are getting sucked into lol tumblr fads to get that. It's the same as people who think tumblr invented shipping Tony and Steve.

Holy fuck, if this secret was an "annoying fandom shit drinking game" I would be dead right now. On one hand I'm like keep doing what you're doing, different strokes, etc. On the other I'm secretly going fffuck yooouu.

It's actually kind of fascinating how many people become obsessed with the Avengers and have this obsession manifest as a desire to throw out 90% of it, turning it into a shitty sitcom where the superheroes are overblown stock characters and murderous villains are nothing more than the annoying, ineffectual neighbor who shows up occasionally to eyerolls and wah-wah-wahhh trumpet music from the other characters.

These are my OTP too, but for different reasons (I shipped them without tumblr, but tumblr kept me on board!) though I ship everyone in the Avengers because they all have such good chemistry.

Have fun with that OP, but understand that outside of tumblr, a lot of that stuff will get you weird looks and people slowly backing away from you for several reasons.

One of the main ones being that in the process of creating "Superfamily", Peter's entire backstory becomes null and void (which wipes out the main points of his character) and Wade is reduced to Snarky Crazy Guy #5948 with none of the pathos that make him interesting (Hmm... wonder if Way had a hand in this?).

So yeah, have fun. Enjoy. But don't expect everyone to get what you're getting out of it. I'll be over here happy with my tumblr savior blacklisting this stuff.

I find it highly enjoyable to watch the freakish evolution of Avengers fandom, especially this part of it, as a Marvel fan firmly avoiding all online fandom activity.
