This ship got me REALLY confused. On one hand, I WANT TO READ THE FANFICS! On the other.... is there anything out there that's not abusive? Like, some fluff or genuine caring? (I know, I know, it's Cronus. He's as caring as Karkat's a wordsmith).

I'd be more creeped out by fluff, personally.

I've seen enough people insist that there wasn't anything skeevy about the way he treated Mituna in canon that I don't know that I could trust anything where their relationship is supposed to be a sweet and caring one. At least with dark and abusive I'd know what to expect.

The way I read it, he was about to make a face heel turn before Kankri so helpfully intervened.

'Caring' is stretching it though. It would take a lot for me to believe fluff with those two. Like, Cronus gets visited by three spirits and has a complete change of heart. (This would be terrible IMO.)
