because someone doesn't like a pairing or a series, it makes them a troll?

it might be that they said it to stir up trouble. THAT makes them a troll. holding an opinion and maybe having stupid reasons for it does not make someone a troll.

or is troll what you get called now when someone doesn't agree with you or states an opinion you don't agree with?

Hmm, not sure if you're going to see this, but I guess I might as well respond.

Sorry, I must have not made myself clear. I'm not calling them a troll because of their opinion - they're free to dislike characters/pairings, and I don't have anything against that at all. If they had ended the secret as just "I don't like this pairing," or "I don't see what's good about these characters," I wouldn't have taken note at all. To each, their own, after all.

However, when they state evidence that is completely against canon, I can't help but think that they said it just to raise controversy, which is why I'm calling troll.
