Anytime fandom attempts to bring something from the animal world into romance/sexual situations squicks me - omegafic, knotting, wing!fic. All of it confuses me and makes me hit my back button like whoa.

Omg!i am not alone! You have no idea how happy that makes me, because it seems like everyone and their mother are all into the omega verse and so on...

Ugh. This trope is one of the worst to me. And there will always be someone I really respect in fandom being like 'NO you gotta read this. Its Omega, but totally good." So I do it. And I always end up hating myself halfway through the fic. I just don't get it.

And I know lots of people who aren't big fans! There are some of us!

I just don't read any omega verse or any kind of animal/supernatural body changing or species altering things, it doesn't interest me at all, and none of it seems to be any good...

The weird thing is I have nothing agains au's in general, just those kinds of them and a couple of my fandoms seems quite fond of them, but as long as it is on the warnings/about parts I don't care, I just skip it.

We should make a support group!

I used to read some when they came highly recommended....and no. It's just not something I understand. I just don't even bother anymore, even if it's an author I really like. I just can't.

I've read some that had no sex and that kind of explored the societal implications of the entire alpha/omega thing, but I get what you're saying. It kind of skeeves me out a bit too. :/
