We had the voice actors of Germany and France in the English version at my local con this year so we had a lot of Hetalia fans at the con. The fangirls were mostly okay, though? Hyperactive and teenager, but...well, I used to be like that, too, and I didn't notice them doing anything particularly rude or anything that upset me.

The only thing I regret is deciding to watch part of Hetalia in one of the video rooms. There was so much squealing I couldn't even really hear the darn show! Never again!

But anyway, like what you like, and don't feel too ashamed for it, I say. Some people will maybe automatically assume you're an annoying fangirl because of it but people that are quick to assume like that are probably best avoided, anyway. (Case in point: I don't particularly care for HS, but a lot of people I know that are super awesome are Homestucks. I don't really care, even if the fandom is insane and crazy to me, they're still cool.)
