-shrugs- Tbh, I've gotten so used to this attitude in my main fandom [which is *loosely* based on history, so everyone and their dog seems to declare 'History makes X.y or z canon!'], that it's just kind of like water off a duck's back at this point.

Personally, I'm more annoyed by the people who do the 'I'MMA SHIP X, OR Y PAIRING TO BRING DOWN PAIRING Z!'

This. This times a million. Personally, I don't care if someone is super excited about their ship and clings to straws on why it might be canon. Let them have their fun, who cares.

The people who feel the need to bash another ship though? Yeah, I could do without them in fandom.
