star trek!

I'm I the only one that thought this secret is about the STAR TREK fandom?
Come on! they have the granddaddy of slash there, and after a het pair was made canon in the new movie by JJ Abrams the fans even made a fucking online petition to get rid of it and make K/S canon in the sequel, but disguised it as some pro the LGBT community shit (and they legit got called on it from the LGBT community)
Zachary Quinto got some shit as well because he dared to say that the fictional straight character that he plays is straight and not gay (news at eleven! also, in context: he was replying to the ones who said that him being gay made Spock gay too he wasn't saying that slash fans are idiots for shipping K/S).
In that fandom K/S is the one and only, you can't even like them as just friends anymore even if it's canon. E.g: the whole "I have been and I always shall be yours". Yes, Spock said that but they oh so conveniently delete the original intent and context of the phrase as the complete one actually is "You are my superior officer and my friend,I have been and I always shall be yours). One of the most iconic quotes ( the epic "I have been and I always shall be your friend" that he said later in the movie in one of the saddest scenes ever!) is turned into a totally different thing by them. How dare you to interpret it as a quote about friends? Even grammar must be ambiguous for the shippers, silly naive me.
I understand them I really do, to same degree slash even makes sense as long as it doesn't get out of hand because for God's sake, many fans would love to like some relationships as just friends sometimes without people trying to convince them that no they want to fuck each other and you're blind.
After all, their friendship is canon, they really considered each other like brothers what's so wrong about people liking them as just friends? I don't understand why bros ships aren't as valid as slash or het ships. Is is so hard to understand that when you add dick jokes to certain scenes it may be perceived as bashing by other fans as much as slash fans perceive it as bashing when people don't ship them romantically?
