Well, of course, Forget monsetrous, I can barely find any attractive men/less attractive woman couple in any visual medium.

The only one I could think of is the main couple in Hairspray which was basically hyped as 'OMG she's fat and he's hot but he loves her!!!'

I don't really think it does because for most of the movie she is Hollywood pretty. He needs that time to start liking her for him to actually accept her normal face. It's like a fatphobic* reverse Beast.

And as much as I like Jack Black, I wouldn't call him "Hollywood handsome".

(Even though "Hollywood handsome" doesn't really exist like it does for women. I'm at a loss as to what to call it. I almost went with Bishonen but that didn't seem right either.)

*Is that the right word?

Well...

In the Drew Carey Show Mimi and Drew's brother get together, IIRC. He's pretty normal and sweet and she's comically ugly and bitcy (but also kind of awesome in her 'I don't give a crap' attitude)... but he's no exactly 'Hot' and later he also comes out as a crossdresser or something, and their relationship is usually played for laughs.

And in Married With Children there's Marcy and Jefferson, though I can't remember if Jefferson is a goldigger or if there really was love between them, because he did seem to care about her at times.

I think that Jefferson do care about Marcy even though he is truly a parasite on her. I think when Steve came back from being missing show some part of that even though it was more he didn't want to lose his cush life, IIRC.

Actually, Steve was a cross dresser long before he fell in love with Mimi. It was their shared interest in makeup that brought them together, iirc.

The only one I can remember was Jefferson and Marcy from Married with Children and Professor Oglevee and Nikki from the Parkers (although Nikki was pretty but she would be unattractive in media since she was obese), and both were played for laughs most of the time. I think Sam/Mercedes from Glee can apply too (even though Mercedes is actually pretty, but by conventional beauty standards, she's far from it for being dark-skinned, fat Black girl). But anything Beauty and the Beast level, especially with a truly plain or unattractive girl? No.

I can think of BARELY any, but:

Puck/Lauren from Glee (for a little while, at least)

Jaime Lannister/Brienne of Tarth from GoT/ASoIaF (I actually find the show actress attractive, but she's definitely not TRADITIONALLY feminine-ideal, they play down her looks on the show as much as possible, and the books constantly describe out as outright extremely hideously ugly; meanwhile the guy is like traditional Errol Flynn guy hot in both books and show)
