ugh people like you that claim to like something but never watch/read/played the source material annoy me so much.

you can't even say 'well i can't afford to buy and play game x or see movie y or read book z' since homestuck is a webcomic.

and if you liked homestuck like you say, you would READ THE DAMN THING.

oh well that's even dumber. i mean homestuck has great, even incredible fanartist, but there's more to homestuck than just fanart.

I think OP acknowledges that, and it seems like they might even want to like Homestuck. I will say that I didn't want anything to do with it for a long time, and my friend gradually started linking me to more and more fanart until I couldn't take it anymore and had to read the comic. But sometimes you really want to like something and have trouble getting into it. Maybe they'll change their mind in time, I did.

nah, i don't think everything i like others should and vice versa.

but it's the fact the OP is all I LIKE EVERYTHING ABOUT HOMESTUCK EXCEPT FOR THE ACTUAL THING. it's like saying 'I love PB&J sandwiches but hate bread'. a sandwich isn't a sandwich without bread and without the bread it's just filling. you need the bread or you'll just get your fingers sticky trying to have PB&J together. i mean you can't really have one without the other and not create a big mess.

what i'm trying to say is that homestuck is the bread while fandom is the PB&J.

I think it's more they just worded it awkwardly. Though they don't get what they are talking about if they think the fandom isn't going off the actual art in it's designs.

Still, that's more ignorance then anything. And if they aren't actually claiming to be a fan, forgivable.
