No. Aseuxal is a lack of sexual desire towards other people - which means that there are a lot of asexuals who enjoy sex, in the same way that people can enjoy food even when they aren't actually hungry/need to eat.

The general term, at least in the asexual community for someone who doesn't enjoy sex is sex-repulsed.

[Sorry if that seems terse, but there's already enough confusion as to what asexuality is without mudding the waters by saying 'not enjoying sex is just asexual']

That's my point. If you had to have sex with a woman for some reason, you might get physical pleasure out of it, but that doesn't mean you're attracted to women now.

It's like that with a lot of aces and their partners. The partner wants sex so they have sex for the sake of the partner because they want the partner to be happy. They might get physical pleasure out of it. But that doesn't mean they're suddenly sexually attracted to people.

So asexuality isn't about not wanting sex, it's sex as an option, but with no love or no sexual attraction to either gender?

No you can romantically love any gender (hence homoromantic, heteroromantic) as an asexual. There just isn't sexual attraction in it.

Most aces aren't totally against sex, they just have no desire for it. You probably don't get regular cravings for plain bread but that doesn't mean you hate it.

Love isn't sex. You can love a someone and want to be intimate with them without wanting to have sex with them. Many things can fall under intimacy- cuddling, holding hands, kissing, et cetera- that don't involve sex that you likely wouldn't do with a platonic friend.

Asexuality is about not being sexually attracted to people. That's it. Everything else is a toss up. You have romantic aces, nonromantic aces, aces that would be okay with sex if it were for the sake of someone else but wouldn't pursue it themselves, aces that would refuse all sex, lots of different kinds, but the main thing is, they're all not sexually attracted to people.

i have a friend whose dad is gay but he clearly fucked a woman to have some kids. some people do it to hide their sexuality, others do it to feel "normal" etc. they still had sex with someone they weren't sexually attracted to, it's not that hard to stick your erect penis in someplace it'll fit.

Hm, sorry. Was fuzzy on it since a lot of people here seem to be saying asexuals don't actually want sex and just do it if their partner wants to. Think I'm getting it a bit more now reading these threads.
