(Anonymous) 2012-10-09 01:02 am (UTC)(link)Do you know anyone over 30 years old in RL or, you know, anyone over 25 in fandom? Does it appear that those people, when they begin to get older than 21, wrap up everything but drudgery and work and put it in a box somewhere in their head??
All age types are in fandoms. I know grandmothers who write some of the most hilarious commentary on True Blood you've ever read, and 60+ year olds who not only meta like a boss, they turn out some fantastic fanfiction ever to post. And they fangirl as hard as any tweener you'll ever meet. And they do it with class.
And I'm fairly active in fandom, write fanfic and whatnot, and I'm a geriatric 41 years old. *gasp*
So no, OP, you're safe for another forty or fifty or sixty years. Keep on keeping on with your creative self.
