Of course there's not some magic age where you have to give up fandom. As long as you enjoy it and it makes you happy, what should it matter how old you are? Enjoying stuff isn't confined to childhood. I'm 32 in a week and have been into online fandom since I was 15. It's been a nice constant in my ever-changing life. My fandoms, how I interact, and my level of involvement are always evolving, but me being fannish is something I always have, and I can't imagine giving that up. Of course, not everyone who is into fandom while they're growing up will stay in it for life. And that's fine! But just because some people appear to grow out of it (although better to say they just lose interest in it) doesn't mean that's how it works for everyone. As long as it interests you, it shouldn't matter how old you are.
