(Anonymous) 2012-10-09 04:09 am (UTC)(link)I see all the cool fanart and cosplays and crossover fanfic and am like "hey, I should give Homestuck another try!" and then I go back to where I left off, look at the squat little characters in the big black and white rooms with the little chatroom typing, and sigh and go check out something else.

I love the fanworks, art and stories in particular, but even after slogging through the first three acts of the comic... it's still a slog and completely not fun to read. What I have picked up of the story from following a particular fan writer as she got into it sounds awesome, but the presentation is killing me.
My dearest wish is for someone to write a novelization, not a "convert this multimedia webcomic to a dead tree graphic novel" thing, but a completely text novel.
