Woo hoo, a Spec Ops secret! I'm only partway through it but I love how it's intentionally using the disturbing parts of the genre to have a genuine emotional impact. I hope the message doesn't turn out to be just "don't play games like this" like you're suggesting.

Glad to hear that. I thought not, since so far it's been a lot smarter than that and unwilling to go for easy answers.

Like after the phosphorus bombing part, when the other guys are losing it and turning on each other, it says so much that Walker's way of dealing with the guilt and the horror is, "We have to keep moving."
