I kind of have to agree here. Even though this particular incident was technically the fault of Robbie just being abnormally klutzy, it was still crafted as a sort of comeuppance for "swiping the girl out from under the main character". But if you saw the episode, you'd know that all he did was ask her out nicely and she agreed. Honestly, Wendy laughing at him along with the others made her seem like quite the jerk and possibly a perfect match for Robbie.

You could argue it was an indirect punishment for Robbie acting like a jerk and a rival to the main character but, again, if you saw the episode you'd also know that in the same episode, Stan was being an even bigger jerk to all kinds of people and was taking their money. Yet his comeuppance was a lot more fitting for his crimes.

Unfortunately, I have a habit of being attracted to the antagonist whose punishment is far worse than his/her crime so it isn't really anything new to me, just annoying.
