My workplace has their Christmas parties (all the main departments have one, and all the departments attend everyone else's parties; it's two weeks of parties all the time) during working hours, so getting and watching everyone else get drunk on the clock is a pretty big highlight. LOL My favorite year though was probably when a high school choir was brought in to sing Christmas carols.

What kinds of activities are available in your general area? If they want something interesting and Christmasy, well, give them an activity. Ice skating, caroling, sleigh rides, hitting up the local women's shelter or hospital's children's ward with bags full of donations/gifts for kiddies, etc.
