That's just about as horrible as it winding up to be Jon and Dany, so...

...Yeah I got nothing. GRRM would be the ultimate troll if he just went "fuck it, bitches" and made Sansan canon. Like, really waffy canon. As in, they somehow survive the coming zombie White Walker apocalypse, rebuild the Seven Kingdoms, get married and become Queen of the North and her Prince Consort, have ten healthy children, and live happily ever after in the longest summer the world has ever seen.

Rocks fall and everyone else dies.

It pretty much IS canon in the sense that Snape/Lily is canon. Even GRRM hasn't denied that there's something there. The man even personally requested that Sandor/Sansa be featured in the 2012 calendar.

But even the most diehard Sansan shipper acknowledges that the idea of a happy ending happening between them is close to nil.
