While I can appreciate what they have in the comics I don't think they could pull it off in a film except in one way I don't think they would try.

Maybe if they let the romance build up through two movies it would work. Maybe they could put in a deep, "BUT SHE'S RELATED TO MY LOST LOVE" thing and "OMG AM I SOME SORT OF SICKO?" But I'm wondering where they would find the time in-between Bucky and whatever the third movie will be about.

But I don't think they'd do that.

I think what we're going to get is her but she won't be related to Peggy. That way we get to still technically have the character but not the skeevy aspect. Personally, if they did this I hope they would also have Steve go through the "But can I move on?" thing. I think that would be interesting. But again, I don't think they'd have the time.

I don't know how I would feel about time traveling Peggy. On one hand I'm thinking, "FUCK YEAH! I LOVE PEGGY! MORE PEGGY!" On the other hand I'm also thinking, "Wait, so she's alive too? First Bucky now her. Is Howard going to pop up too? How will Tony deal with that?" It starts breaking my suspension of disbelief. Then again, if put in the hands of a talented writer I have no doubt it could be pulled it off. Peggy, Bucky, and Steve all adjusting to the present together would be cute and awesome. But back on track, my point is that I feel conflicted about the issue.

Anyway, seems I rambled a bit. Sorry about that. I guess we'll see soon enough what the writers have decided.
