I don't really get all your "the writing went shitty!" complaints. Because- well, somewhat because we have wonderful things like Kieron Gillen's JiM and Rick Remender's "Uncanny X-Force" and Mark Waid's "Daredevil" and Greg Rucka's "The Punisher", but otherwise because- what writing do you base your nostalgic dreams on when it wasn't shitty? I hope you don't mean the 90's, because really, THAT was crap. So what are you talking about? The 80's? Yeah, they were nice, but they were a different time. A time where people still used thought bubbles, because the printing quality still couldn't convey good enough art to express emotions with it. When you still had to you yellow-box-captions to narrate what's happening for the same reason and it just isn't DONE anymore. So obviously now writers can't always rely on narration boxes and thought bubbles, the style HAS to change. It can't stay static. It reminds me how people in the 80's hated the comics then because they weren't like the 60's. Well, duh. Styles have to change.
