Secondly, yes, there is a type of writer who mistakes ease of writing for inspiration and churns out fic after fic of poorly thought through, never edited, banal tripe. They are easily recognized by the fact that they proudly spam the hell out of their communities and archives, despite receiving few if any reviews. But the thing about them is they they don't bother to reflect or reread what they've written -- they are already on to writing the next bit. The most important thing to them is not the plot, but the word count.
So think: do you just write whatever comes off the top of your head, hoping it contains an interesting idea, and then publish as soon as you see a stopping point? Or do you actually plot your stories, write, then sit on what you write, go back, and then make an attempt to edit to improve what you've written. If you are doing the second, you are not one of the people you fear you are.
