Knight Rider. I just got the original series on DVD and I'm like halfway through and it's so cheesy and awesome and KITT is the best thing ever and Michael has a fetish for hugging people or something, I swear. /ramble

I haven't really gone looking for an active fandom, but last time I trawled through the interwebs for fic there wasn't anything recent. Unsurprising, but still sad.

You totes should! It's held up well through the nostalgia imo. Sometimes it drags a bit, but KITT makes up for everything and steals the show every time he's onscreen.

And the way I ship him with everyone, you'd think he was a bicycle instead of a car. ;D

Hahaha. I was too young to be interested in anything remotely resembling shipping back when it was airing (though I'd occasionally debated whether "Uh, my first celebrity crush was... the Hoff" was worth a fandomsecret), but I totally decided that when I got older, I was going to get a car just like that and put lights on it.

Honestly I don't actually remember all that much about the show aside from a couple particularly important episodes (such as the whole situation that led to KITT being rebuilt with new features, and Michael being married for like five minutes), so rewatching it would probably be like watching it for the first time for me... all the more reason to do so.
