1) Pretty people on TV/in movies.
2) Normally, in storytelling, each physical feature should tell you something about a character. A scarred up character means something just like an unscarred one means something. And it's not always, "Gets hurt a lot/Doesn't get hurt a lot". Most of the time writers go by the thought that every scar should have a story, unless it's just to give an overall impression of a character.
3) You are asking that the actors either scar themselves or put on a bunch of scar make up each shoot that continually becomes more and more as they earn more and more scars.
4) Everyone heals differently. What causes you to scar may not cause someone else to scar.
5) If this happened to some characters they would be covered in nothing but scars. While that may be cool it may not be the impression the creator wants the character to give to not only the audience but also other characters.
So... yeah.
