(Anonymous) 2012-10-13 03:53 am (UTC)(link)Another factor that a lot of people don't seem to be considering is the fact that Stiles is 16 and Derek is, as far as we know, 23-ish (and there have been some illusions to him maybe being older...? I enjoy your show, Jeff Davis, but your timelines give me a god damn headache). Judging by what I've seen, most of the people who want to see them on screen want to see them portrayed in a positive fashion and... honestly, that's a bit sketchy given the age gap. Especially since legal age of consent in California is 18. Add to this the fact that Derek was essentially taken of advantage of and sexually abused by Kate when he was younger and all that history and... I just really don't see it happening the way the majority of people seem to want it to and still making sense.
