A related gripe: I get annoyed when a game lets you create a character, and the male characters get really nasty looking or badass scars and the women have dainty, pretty little scars to choose from. (That's one thing I like about SWTOR, you've got some pretty gnarly scar choices even for the girls...)

Fuck YES, this annoys the shit out of me, too. Why must a female PC be "pretty"? Screw you, developers, I want the option to have a glasgow smile. Or a big chunk out the eyebrow. Or, you know, SOMETHING NON-TRIVIAL.

If you're not going to do that, at least make the makeup options also available for men. So a male character can ALSO go waltzing into battle in perfect unsmudging eyeliner and lipstick!

I love Skyrim for this. My female character has facial scars and tattoos, and my male character has lipstick! I like to pretend that they're twins.
